SPACE (Newcastle) Ltd is searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to lead our brand-new, family-run private day nursery in Byker. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our nursery’s vision, culture and environment from the very beginning.

Your Role
As Nursery Manager, you will:

Lead, support and inspire a warm, hardworking staff team
-
Create and embed a child-centred EYFS curriculum
-
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead

Ensure high standards of care, learning and development
-
Build strong, positive relationships with families
-
Maintain a safe, welcoming and compliant environment
-
Drive quality, wellbeing and occupancy
-
Support staff with Ofsted readiness and continuous improvement
What You’ll Need
Essential:
-
Enhanced DBS check
-
Previous experience in a management role within a childcare setting
-
Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 preferred)

Strong safeguarding knowledge
-
Excellent communication and leadership skills
-
A caring, child-focused approach
Preferred:
-
Experience supporting a staff team through an Ofsted inspection
